Ivy Cottage, Shipley Bridge

We are a 72 place Nursery located between Crawley and Horley and is ideally situated for parents whose daily commute is to London, Reigate, Redhill and of course surrounding areas.
We are split into 3 groups – babies (0 to 18mths), Toddlers (18 months to 3 years) and Pre-school (3 to 5 years).
The nursery benefits from a wonderful outdoor space allowing the children the freedom to explore their natural environment as well as exciting and challenging opportunities provided within the Nursery.
Extracurricular activities are provided for all children, we currently have weekly football and sing and sign classes and are soon to introduce cookery classes and baby yoga. We have an onsite Forest School provision for the children to engage in our Forest School Programme.

Our Management Team

Kelly Burbery, Manager

Kelly is a qualified childcare professional with qualifications in childcare, early years teaching and a degree in childcare and education. Having started her career in Cranbrook nurseries in 2005 she has gained a great deal of experience working with us and has been our manager at Ivy Cottage since 2017.

Childcare has been of great interest to Kelly – her mother was also a childcare practitioner – particularly in developing learning experiences within the nursery with carefully planned play areas and activities. She is a capable manager, mentoring her team to maximise opportunities for children to learn through play.

Deputy Manager

Natalie Chrystie, Operations Manager

As the Operations Manager for Childcare And Learning Group, Natalie has responsibility for supporting and developing the nurseries and pre-schools within the group, including Castle Nursery in Shamley Green.

Natalie is a qualified childcare specialist with over 40 years experience working in the childcare industry including many years running individual nurseries for the group. Leading a senior team of three regional managers and a special projects manager, she ensures that nurseries have the facilities, support and training required to meet the group’s own high standards for best practice in childcare.

“We know that Cranbrook is only as good as the relationship between our staff and our customers (the big ones and the little ones!) and we plan to continue listening and responding to parents’ needs, quickly and effectively.”
